About

Hi there! I’m Sari.

img_3083I’m a thirty-something woman whose life is a little unorthodox, okay maybe a little messy right now! Yet, I’m consciously working towards being the best version of myself that I can be, and if you’re here reading this, chances are you are working to be the best version of you.

I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, and I moved to the United States to build a better life. I’ve lived in America for the past 12 years. I have two master degrees, and I’m still facing VISA challenges while trying to figure out my next step.

Two years ago, I lost my job and hit rock bottom. With that, I also lost my life satisfaction and self-esteem. As the saying goes: “When you hit rock bottom, there’s nowhere to go but up!” That huge setback and challenge made me realize that I’ve even lost my own identity. Because of that, I’m making a significant career shift and trying to figure out my next step. It takes hard work and persistence, and I pride myself in being a fighter until the end.

I hope that by sharing my stories and insights, you’ll be inspired to cope with your difficulties and learn that it’s always greener on the other side. I have gone (still going) through the same things, and with you, I’ll navigate the real world and share some genuine advice, hoping it’ll define your goals. Because just like you, I laid on my bed awake countless nights asking “what’s next?!”

This is my journal toward recovery.  Every day I’m getting stronger and better.
